[TALOS} OPEN CALL 2024 to develop robotics, AI and data solutions for land-based PV, floating PV, AgriPV

TALOS is an EU co-funded project that aims to develop robotics, AI and data solutions, showcasing their prowess across various photovoltaic (PV) energy applications. 9 to 13 SMEs or Startups will be selected to develop robotics, AI and data solutions in order to address the challenges defined for the 3 pilot scenarios to be executed within TALOS Project (land-based PV, floating PV, AgriPV). The selected companies will receive up to €200,000 and a 9-month support programme. TALOS consortium will provide technical support with expertise in engineering integration, testing and validation to support the selected SMEs and Startups to demonstrate the added value of their solutions to address the challenges of the pilot scenarios. About TALOS TALOS solutions are designed to address key challenges in the PV and agricultural sectors, ensuring effective and efficient human-robot collaboration and adaptability to various scenarios. These solutions are tailored to perform tasks like monitoring, inspection, cleaning, and vegetation management in all PV scenarios. The key innovation of TALOS lies in automating these operations and maintenance (O&M) tasks, which are currently performed by humans. By deploying fully autonomous solutions, such as drones for visual inspections, PV panel cleaners, and vegetation mowers, TALOS aims to enhance safety and reduce risk exposure for O&M workers. Additionally, this automation is expected to decrease the human effort required for crop monitoring by 90% in demonstration scenarios, thereby optimizing plant performance ratios by up to 10%.
