AI Learning for Humanitarian Actors
Short DescirptionElrha is seeking a skilled consultant (or team) to design and deliver a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) that translates our AI for Humanitarian Practice learning journey into a scalable, engaging online course

The MOOC should:
• Repurpose and structure existing learning materials into a modular, digestible online course.
• Be hosted and fully implemented on Thinkific, Elrha’s selected learning platform.
• Highlight 3–4 clear learning outcomes aligned with Elrha’s objectives of responsible, ethical, and impactful AI use in humanitarian contexts.
• Introduce the course with a 5-minute welcome video that gives learners the context and learning path ahead.
• Incorporate content from recorded lectures, workshop sessions, slides, UKHIH AI newsletters, and other available resources.
• Offer a mix of self-paced and interactive elements, appropriate for a global humanitarian audience with diverse digital access and learning needs.

The successful Consultant will demonstrate the ability to create high-quality online learning experiences while bringing subject matter expertise and strong communication skills. Elrha seeks an individual or team with the following qualifications, experience, and capabilities:
• Strong communication and instructional skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engagingly for a diverse, global audience.
• Deep understanding of the humanitarian sector, including familiarity with its principles, challenges, and contexts of practice.
• Credibility and expertise in the subject matter, particularly in artificial intelligence, data, ethics, and their application in humanitarian settings.
• Proven experience developing and delivering online learning content, preferably short courses or MOOCs for adult learners.
• Ability to synthesise and adapt existing materials (e.g., recorded lectures, presentations, reports) into structured, accessible, and engaging online modules.
• Experience recording and presenting video-based learning content (short, concise lessons of 5–7 minutes), and creating accompanying handouts, discussion prompts, and activities.
• Familiarity with basic online course design principles, such as chunking content and aligning with clear learning outcomes (technical expertise in platforms like Thinkific is desirable but not essential -Elrha can provide technical guidance).
• A collaborative and flexible working style, with openness to iteration, cultural sensitivity, and responsiveness to feedback from Elrha and key stakeholders.

The Provider must be fluent in English and able to deliver all documentation, course materials, and correspondence in English.
