Regional Entrepreneurship Awards (PERL) by Lausanne Région

The PERL awards are a central element of Lausanne Region's support for businesses located within its member municipalities . Each year, they offer five regional companies the opportunity to distinguish themselves with a high-potential and particularly innovative project. High and clean tech are highlighted, as well as social innovation, crafts, and commerce. In this way, the competition contributes to job creation and retention in the Lausanne region.

Criteria[Please refer to the website for criteria and details]

To compete, the company must present a business plan (product/service/performance):
• innovative
• with strong economic potential for the Lausanne region
• which does not exceed five years of existence, whether commercially available or to be commercialized

Candidates must compete in the following categories. They indicate which category(ies) (maximum two choices) belongs to their project:
• Crafts
• Commerce
• Industry
• Technological innovation
• Design
• Services
The company must also provide a detailed list of prizes and awards received over the past five years for this same project.

Projects meeting the following criteria will be given priority consideration and submitted to the jury for evaluation:
• Economic impact of the project for Lausanne and its region
• Maintaining and creating jobs
• Originality and innovative aspect of the project
• A high-quality business model/business plan demonstrating technical feasibility and the economic viability of the project
• Suitability to the project's economic environment and its place within a sustainable development perspective
• The financial impact that the Prize may have on the future of the project
• Projects must also respect business ethics, collective labor agreements and be part of a sustainable development perspective
