The Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP) initiative within I3-4 Biofertilizers aims to overcome financial and technical barriers faced by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in adopting biofertilizers and implementing circular and sustainable agrifood practices. The I3-4 Biofertilizers FSTP provides cascade funding to SMEs across Greece, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium and Hungary. Each SME receives a financial voucher of max €60,000 to develop feasibility studies, investment plans, and go-to-market strategies, complemented by comprehensive technical and advisory support. This support includes access to mentors, expert networks, pilot testing infrastructures, and decision-support systems, enabling SMEs to innovate and scale their sustainable agriculture solutions effectively. The ultimate goal is to enhance the interregional value chain of biofertilizers and promote a resilient, circular bioeconomy in the European agricultural sector.

Call structure — Task description This call is divided into two application strands: • Strand 1 – Tools and services to support the deployment of biofertilizers to support investment cases (IC) of the project. • Strand 2 – Open Innovation and scale up of new innovative biofertilizers.
