Call for groundbreaking projects for accelerating precision medicine for cancer and neurological diseases by Digital Health and Discovery Platform (DHDP)

The Digital Health and Discovery Platform (DHDP) seeks to improve health outcomes for Canadians by accelerating precision medicine for cancer and neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s. To attain this goal, the DHDP funds groundbreaking projects that:
- Breaking barriers to health data sharing to enable innovation across multiple sites
- Find novel ways to incorporate AI to clinical settings
- Mentor a new generation of scientists and clinicians able to problem-solve in complex environments

This competition is open to all private-sector and public organizations (for example, academic, health and research institutions and their foundations, independently owned businesses or industries, multinational enterprises (MNEs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and granting agencies) from across Canada.
Each project must actively involve:
• Inclusion and involvement of two (2) or more Canadian small- and medium-sized enterprises — SMEs — defined as fewer than 499 employees.
• Inclusion of a data provider who wishes to share health data through the DHDP.
o Please Note: SMEs who have access to data needed to complete their proposed project only require an additional SME (for a total of two) to form a project team.
